Our own personal philosophy on music education can help guide and influence our decisions and motives on the podium, in the classroom, and in our own personal professional growth. It is important to have a very clear understanding of what we do, why, how, and for whom, so that we can better lead our students down a path of high level artistry, and musicality. Furthermore, a well-thought out philosophy grounds and re-affirms our values, thus providing a more concrete and tangible manner to measuring accountability.
